Playing field and net height:
In singles, the game is played on the narrow court, in doubles, the outer lines count. The serve must go over the front service line. In doubles, the serve may only be played to the back service line. The net height is 1.55m.
Goal of the game:
The aim is to play the shuttle over the net in such a way that the opponent cannot return it legally.
Service rules:
The serve is always diagonal. In singles, if the score is even, it is served from the right and if the score is odd, it is served from the left. The shuttlecock must be hit below the waist.
Counting method:
The rally point system is used, with each rally worth one point. The game is played to 21 points, with a two-point lead. At 28:28, the player who reaches 30 points first wins.
Mistake:
Faults occur when the ball lands outside the court, does not cross the net, touches the ground, or is touched twice in a row by the same player.
